McDonald's endorse NBA star, Yao - 2004-02-12
Hamburger giant, McDonald's, today publicized that they have signed Chinese basketball star Yao Ming to an international marketing contract in hopes of beefing up its image within the young and fit market.
The contract with the National Basketball Association star is a "multi-year global partnership," the company declared in a statement, without offering details.

The deal was revealed one day following one of Yao's greatest games, scoring 29 points and pulling down 11 rebounds against Shaquille O'Neal, taking the Houston Rockets past the Los Angeles Lakers 102-87.

Surging Pacers Intend to Evade New Collapse - 2004-02-12
The Indiana Pacers recall what occurred last season. So they're not about to brag about their success so far.

The Pacers go into the All-Star break with the most wins in the NBA and, at 39-14, their best record so far as an NBA franchise. They've led the Eastern Conference from opening night and have yet to lose over two games consecutively.
One reason is that the Pacers have been capable of paying attention to basketball.
