Gambler Cashes $150,000 Winning Ticket - 2004-02-12
An online bettor from Ohio beat the odds and received a small fortune at the top sports betting site
BetWWTS.com by picking a correct eight-team parlay this week. The long-time customer turned just $1,500 on both pro and college basketball games into $150,000 richer when all eight of his choices were picked as winners.
When asked about his winning bet, the customer stated, "It's just blind luck. I have made numerous attempts at hitting big parlays and usually don't
include NBA games, because I prefer College hoops, but when I put them together I was just hoping it would come in."

Basketballer-Williams shooting was no suicide - 2004-02-12
A police officer who answered a reported suicide at the home of one-time basketball All-Star Jayson Williams stated that he knew soon after arriving that the victim’s wound wasn’t self-inflicted.

New Jersey State Police Trooper Thomas Muehleisen testified in Williams’s manslaughter trial that he concluded that when he witnessed the body of limousine driver Costas "Gus" Christofi on the floor of Williams’s bedroom on Feb. 14, 2002, and a shotgun close by.
