Bills Alumni Spotlight: Pete Gogolak - 2004-02-13
Pete Gogolak liked being the first in line. He was the first place-kicker ever drafted by the Bills, the first soccer-style kicker in professional football and the first free agent to go from the AFL to the NFL.

Gogolak and his family arrived in the United States in 1957, following the Hungarian revolution. Fourteen-years-old at the time, he was a soccer player whose school in Ogdensburg, NY, didn’t have a team. Instead, Gogolak was introduced to the game of football.

Patriots Great To Coach Local High School - 2004-02-13
New England Patriots great John Hannah, once said to be "the greatest offensive lineman of all time" by Sports Illustrated, was named Friday as head coach of the Somerville High School football team.

The NFL Hall of Famer has been an assistant at Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield for three years. Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone planned an afternoon news conference to introduce Hannah.

Hannah played his entire career with the Patriots, from 1973 through the Super Bowl season of 1985. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1991, his first year of eligibility, and was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection.
