Ben Wallace, the NBA's special star; not high-scoring or flamboyant - 2004-02-13
He is not one of the top-scoring all-stars, nor one of the most flamboyant. Pose to a casual NBA fan to name the starting centre for the Eastern Conference and it's no certain thing they'll come up with the right answer: Ben Wallace.

Wallace seemingly never gets fatigued and makes the non-shooting plays look great - grabbing rebounds above the rim, halting shots or making improbable steals.
Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars relayed that Wallace reminds him a lot of one of his former Bad Boys teammates.
